CLAREMORE —
The Claremore All-Stars and the Hillcat Faculty Pros will be facing off at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the Claremore Expo Center to benefit the Wm. W. Barnes Children’s Advocacy Center.
Mayor Mickey Perry will coach the Claremore All-Stars while Ryan Bradley will coach the Hillcat Faculty Pros.
The Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit, United Way agency whose mission is to reduce the trauma of child abuse. The Center provides a coordinated, multi-disciplinary team approach to assessment, treatment, and education in a safe, child-friendly environment.
Stanley’s Rent to Own has donated a 50” Flat Screen TV for the event.
The TV, along with other large items,. will be raffled at the benefit basketball game. The Children’s Advocacy Center thanks Stanley’s Rent to Own, Rogers State University and all other Claremore area businesses that have helped to make this event possible.

Claremore jazz band takes state
The Claremore High School jazz band received the states top honor last week as the group was named the Oklahoma 5A Jazz Band State Champions.

Safenet contingent visits Rep. Sherrer
Wednesday was a big day at the State Capitol as hundreds of advocates for victims of domestic violence came to lobby legislators on the importance of continued funding for programs which protect Oklahomans. Safenet Services, which serves Mayes and Rogers Counties, participated in the event.
