CLAREMORE —
Phil and Jo Albert have been named chairpersons of the Claremore Symphony League Ball.
The annual event will be held Saturday at the Rogers State University Centennial Center Ballroom.
Social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by a prime rib dinner, dancing and entertainment at 7 p. m.
Part of the evening’s entertainment will include a teaser of The Music Man coming to the Robson PAC in April.
Proceeds will benefit the Symphony League’s Youth Education Programs.
The organization has brought over $40,000 worth of entertainment to Claremore Public Schools since its inception in 2007. Past programs have included members of the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra and performers from Light Opera Oklahoma coming to Claremore to tutor students in musical arts.
In November 2011, Tulsa Honors Orchestra performed an Education Musical Program for Will Rogers Junior High at the Robson PAC.
The latest sponsorship by the Claremore Symphony League is to employ an orchestra of professional musicians for the Claremore High School production of The Music Man coming to Robson PAC on April 26, 28 and 29.
The non- profit organization is now an approved affiliate of the Oklahoma Arts Council. To learn more about this organization please visit their website www.ClaremoreSymphonyLeague.com.
