CLAREMORE —
RCB Bank has announced Peggy Rice has join its board of directors. She began her tenure with the board Aug. 1.
Rice is the president, CEO and co-founder of the Small Business Capital Corporation, a certified development company that is a qualified lender for the U.S. Small Business Administration providing fixed rate financing to small businesses.
In 1996, Rice was named the National Small Business Administration’s Financial Advocate of the Year by President Bill Clinton.
“We look forward to Peggy’s participation in charting the direction of the bank,” said Roger Mosier, RCB Bank President and CEO. “Peggy’s abilities created from her vast experiences, both business and personal, will add valuable insight and provide for the future growth of RCB Bank.”
Previously, Rice served as the Executive Director of the Tulsa Industrial Authority where she was responsible for issuing tax exempt bonds for larger corporations.
She spent 11 years in the banking industry and served on boards of the Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, United Way and Stillwater Public Schools Foundation in Stillwater, OK.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to join RCB’s Board of Directors,” said Rice. “RCB Bank is a solid, community-minded bank and I am hopeful that my banking background will be a positive asset to the board.”
Rice, an Oklahoma native, is active in numerous civic and nonprofit organizations including Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma.
She also volunteers her time at Rogers State University, where her husband Larry Rice serves as President.
“Larry and I love living in Claremore,” said Rice. “Being associated with a 75-year old bank that has an outstanding reputation for customer service not only in this community, but also in Rogers County, the entire state of Oklahoma and southern Kansas is exciting.”
Rice joins Chairman Joe Robson, Dr. John Battle, Tom Bayless, David Charney, Dave Faulkner, Ted McGuire, Robert McKinney, Richard Mosier, Roger Mosier and Frank Robson on the RCB Bank board.
