Ribbon cutting at Goldie’s
October 30, 2009 — Members of the Claremore Chamber of Commerce visited Goldie’s in Claremore yesterday to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the restaurant’s new location. In 2009, Goldie’s Patio Grill moved from its previous location of 22 years at Ne-Mar Center, to its new, more modernized location at 1910 South Highway 66 (Lynn Riggs) in The Market. Present for the ceremonies were Steve Crow, Goldie’s vice-president, and Kim McGinis, Goldie’s secretary treasurer. Crow and McGinis are siblings and the grandchildren of company founder, Goldie Crow, who opened her first restaurant in 1962.

Cara Cowan Watts honored by ASABE with Robert E. Stewart Award
The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers has named Cara Cowan Watts, of Claremore, Oklahoma, winner of the 2010 Robert E. Stewart Engineering – Humanities Award. The award, which honors outstanding contributions of agricultural engineering students to the advancement of the interaction of the profession and the humanities, was presented June 23, at the ASABE 2010 Annual International Meeting, held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
