Mobility Plus gets a new home

CLAREMORE — Mobility Plus a Cherokee Nation business, opened a new location Monday and celebrated a new beginning for customers.

The new facility is located north of Claremore in the Claremore Medical Park and the increased accessibility will be a benefit to customers, according to Scott Knowles, president of Cherokee Nation businesses’ health care division.

Knowles along with many other representatives from the Cherokee Nation gathered during the open house event Monday to welcome the public to tour the facility.

“We are so grateful to be accepted as a part of this community,” Knowles said.

The 3,500 square-foot facility will serve customers in Rogers, Mayes, Nowata, Delaware, Craig and Ottawa counties.

“Product availability has increased in turn increasing the benefit to patients,” said Jeannie Smith, store manager.

“Bigger and better things are now available for customers at the Claremore store,” she said.

The new location is a result of growth and the need for medical equipment is continuing to grow, according to Knowles.

“We are here for long term service and to provide a better facility for our customers,” he said.

The new location allows for easier access in and out of the parking area from the main road and has increased spaces and ramps for handicapped parking. Mobility Plus supplies durable medical equipment, providing personal consultation to clients and customizing equipment for each individual’s needs.
