WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Dan Boren announced today the award of a $258,400 grant to the MidAmerica Industrial Airport (MAIP), a general aviation airport, near Pryor, Ok.

The grant was awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration and will be used to rehabilitate the runway, taxiway, and apron pavement at the airport.  The repairs are required to prevent further deterioration and prolong the life of the pavement at the facility.

“I am pleased to announce this funding is coming to MidAmerica’s airport.  As an economic engine for the region, MidAmerica consistently works to improve its facilities which helps bring new economic development and job opportunities to the park.  Sanders Mitchell and the entire staff at the industrial park are to be commended for their efforts, and I look forward to working with them in the future to obtain these types of critical funding resources,” Boren said.

“I appreciate Congressman Boren for his assistance in obtaining these funds for the airport improvement project,” said Sanders Mitchell, Administrator at MAIP.
