Walgreens recent acquisition will close local Drug Warehouse

CLAREMORE — Among the 13 stores being closed in the Tulsa metro area is the Drug Warehouse store at 213 N. Lynn Riggs Blvd.

Three blocks south is a Walgreens at 601 W. Will Rogers Blvd.

All calls to the local Drug Warehouse were referred to the Tulsa Regional May’s Drug offices, which referred questions to it’s corporate offices in Little Rock, Ark.

No timetable was given as to when the store will close or if current employees will be offered positions in existing Walgreens stores.

All stores that are closing are Drug Warehouses, May's and Med-X Drug store.

Seven are in Tulsa, two in Bixby and Broken Arrow and one in Jenks and Claremore.

May is graduation season.  As I have done every year as Lt.  Governor, I have given multiple commencement speeches.  Advice flows freely during this time and it usually runs the gamut.  What to do, what not to do, how to do ‘x’, be sure not to do ‘y’…Too often commencement speakers speak in big generalities.  So general, the message is frequently lost or forgotten.
