CLAREMORE — A nationwide clothing store for young women, known for its trendy women’s fashions will soon become a presence in Claremore and Rogers County.
Ne-Mar co-owner Steve Neely has announced Friday that national chain Maurices will soon open a branch on West Will Rogers Boulevard in the former site of Goldie’s Patio Grill.
“We’re very happy and excited to have Maurices coming to Ne-Mar Center,” Neely said. “They have been wanting to come to Claremore for a long time and when the location next to Hallmark became available, the opportunity presented itself for them to become part of the Ne-Mar family.”
Renovations and upgrades to the facility are currently underway on site, Neely said, with plans for Maurices to occupy 5,000 square feet of the facility.
In addition to Maurices, Hibbett Sports also will be opening a chain in Ne-Mar, also occupying a 5,000 square foot facility.
“We’re extremely pleased to be welcoming two popular national shops to Ne-Mar Center and Claremore,” Neely said. “We’re confident that Claremore and Rogers County residents will enjoy the products and uniqueness which each of them will be bringing to the Claremore landscape.”
Both chains are tentatively scheduled to open in Claremore in May 2010.
Hibbett Sports is a retail sporting goods chain that sells a wide assortment of brand name men’s, women’s, and kid’s footwear, athletic apparel.
Among brands offered at Hibbett Sports are Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Under Armour, Fossil, K-Swiss, Reebok, Adams, Asics, Oakley, Puma, Rawlings, Wilson, Louisville Slugger, Jansport, Brand Jordan, BoFlex, Everlast, Easton, Crocs, CLC, Dickies, Eye King, Fila, Gear for Sport, Geneva Watch, Impex, Indiana Knitwear, JR-286, Life is Good, Moretz, Mueller, Nautilus, Syndrome Alliance, Thorlo, Ten Seconds, Timberland, and Valeo.
Maurices has more than 700 stores nationwide, with an emphasis on “fashion, quality, value, and customer service,” carrying casual and dress clothing selections for women sizes 1 through 24.
Maurices at Ne-Mar will have 6-10 associates, including assistant managers and full- and part-time sales associates. Maurices currently has nineteen stores in Oklahoma.
