Members of the citizen’s courthouse committee give a celebratory thumbs up at a watch party on Tuesday night following the announcement of the 2,132 to 796 vote on the 1/6th of a cent sales tax to fund construction of a $23 million courthouse and 911 dispatch center. The committee began working in May when it was discovered the tax would expire on Jan. 1, 2010 as the bond for the Rogers County Jail would be paid off five years early.
