Bill Higgins, left, reads off the unofficial results of Tuesday’s election as Rogers County Associate Judge Sheila Condren lets out a joyous yell at a watch party of supporters for the passage of the 1/6 of a cent sales tax. Rogers County voters approved the extension of the tax by a 2,132 to 769 vote. Revenues from the tax will be used to build a $23 million courthouse and 911 call center. Higgins and Condren served on a citizen’s committee that proposed the renewal of the tax to fund the two projects.
