Joneses celebrate 50 years of marriage

Joel and Ruby Sullivan Jones are celebrating 50 years of marriage. The couple was married on Dec. 20, 1957, in Tulsa.

They moved to Claremore in 1967 after Joel’s employer, Danuser Machine Works, moved its manufacturing company from Tulsa.

In 1982 the couple established JFJ Industries, Inc. and in 1990 they expanded their business to a facility in Claremore’s Industrial Park, where Joel is still actively involved. They are active members of First United Methodist Church.

Their children are: Diane Brown and husband, Sandy, of Dallas, Texas, and David Jones and wife, Jami, of Claremore. Their grandchildren are Sarah and Will Brown of Dallas, and Ben and Brooke Jones of Claremore.

The family will celebrate with a Caribbean Cruise over the holidays.
