Philip Kirby and Trilla Faye (Jackson) Coe recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. The couple was married Oct. 4, 1957, in Nowata.
They met on New Year’s Eve 1956. The Coes raised their children in Claremore where Philip built his business, Phil Coe Electric. Trilla taught at Sequoyah Elementary School her entire career.
The couple’s children include: Cindy Freeman of Claremore, Christy Coe and fiance’ Eddy Armbrister of Claremore, and Lee and Michelle Coe of Adair. They have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
