Johnny and Bessie Biswell will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on August 11, 3-5 p.m. at The Pink House.
The couple was married Aug. 14, 1957 at Tahlequah.
Both were born in Claremore, and were raised on farms. Johnny attended Verdigris school; Bessie attended Verdigris and Lone Elm. Both graduated from Claremore High School.
They have raised three children on the farm where they have lived for 49 years. They are still active in farming, growing soy beans, corn, wheat, and hay.
Johnny and Bessie are active in New Life Baptist church, where they are charter members.
