Coopers mark 50 years together

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cooper of Sequoyah Claremore are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

They were married on Sept. 5, 1957 in Tahlequah County Courthouse.

Donald Lee Cooper is the son of the late James and Ethel (Breedlove) Cooper of Locust Grove.

Don retired after 26 years of employment from General Electric in Tulsa.

Barbara Sue Cooper is the daughter of Kathleen (Holden) Robinson of Claremore, and the late Robert (Bus) Robinson.

She retired after 12 years of employment from the Wal-mart Pharmacy in Claremore.

Don and Sue have resided in Sequoyah for the past 37 years and have four children: Donna Patronek, Inola; Jim Cooper, Owasso; Robert Cooper and wife Melanie, Sallisaw; and Michael Cooper, Tulsa. They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, the Cooper’s children will host a reception, including a covered dish dinner and music, for family and friends at 2 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Inola Roundup Club.
