David A. and Judith Ann (Gagnon) Negelein of Claremore are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. They were wed July 14, 1967 at St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee, Mass.
David was born in Tulsa and lived in Sand Springs for 10 years before moving between Salina and Spavinaw. He attended Wickcliffe grade school and graduated from Salina High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after attending Oklahoma State University for two years. After his discharge, David returned to OSU to complete his degree in agriculture.
Judy was born in Holyohe, Mass. and moved to Chicopee as an infant. She graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and Western Massachusetts Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
The couple met when David was stationed at Westover Air Force Base. He attended a high school basketball game where Judy was running the Spanish Club concession stand.

Their children are Christopher of Cooper City, Fla.; Melissa and Scott Worley of Claremore; Erik of Tulsa; and Nicholas of Tulsa.
