Cumbees mark 25 years of marriage

Jack Cumbee and Joelene (Dixon) Cumbee of Claremore are celebrating 25 years of marriage. They were married June 26, 1982, by the late Rev. Ralph Reddout at First Assembly God in Claremore.

Jack was born in Michigan and raised in Kansas City, Mo. Joelene has lived in Claremore most all of her life. The couple met in church after Jack accepted a job that eventually brought him to the Tulsa area.

Joelene was employed as an X-ray technologist for many years until she gave it up to become a stay at home mom. She enjoys gardening and stays very busy. Jack has worked as a machinist for 35 years and is employed at American Airlines.

The couple have one son, Jack, Jr. (J.J.). He is 22 years old and has spent four years in the U.S. Army. J.J. now lives and is employed near Washington, D.C.
